Quote of the Day

We need to look at urban agriculture as a potential solution to problems in the city, whether it's the use of vacant lots, the greening effort, or health issues. - Daniel Heryer, who runs Bad Seed Farm with his wife, Brooke Salvaggio.

Earlier this week we mentioned the actions undertaken by the Bad Seed Farm and Kansas City citizens to enact policy change so to make urban farming part of urban development.
Well, it seems like things are moving; last Tuesday, about 100 people ( including urban farmers, community leader and city officials) gathered to discuss the process for potentially changing the development code in Kansas City!
